Joe Nelson started the business in 1951 and built a reputation for selling quality vehicles at a fair price. The business was sold to Joe’s son Lynn in 1971. Lynn continued in Joe’s footsteps with upgrades to the dealership while building loyalty and goodwill among his customers. In 1988 Lynn’s daughter and son-in-law Barry and Susan Mason took over ownership and continued to provide the tri-state area with quality vehicles and service. They added a better selection of trucks and SUVs and a new sales and Car Maintenance and Services in West Virginia facility. Beth (Mason) and Matt Cosner are now the fourth generation of the family to own Nelson Auto Sales. They will no doubt make changes to Nelson Auto Sales but our customers will always be number one.
